Rainham Surprise Major
(Place notation: 58X58.14X58X36X14X58.36X36.78HL)
This method was first rung at Meldreth, Cambridgeshire on 3rd July 1984 where it was given it’s name. Why it was named after a tower in Kent remains unknown to the ringers at Rainham. The method has now, however, been rung to both a quarter peal and peal in it’s true home!
